Downloading Styles Hangs Forever - Please Help!

Hi there,

when I attempt to open the program the “downloading styles” dialogue box pops up and gets part of the way to completion and then just freezes. Sometimes it even gets to 99%, but it never fully completes.

I even left the computer on overnight to see if that would make a difference, but it doesn’t.

I’ve tried all of the suggestions that were offered to someone before me with the same issues.

I’ve disabled my firewall, disabled anti-virus software, cleared the program’s cache and also allocated maximum graphic/processing capabilities to the program. All with no success. Once it has frozen, I have to force Java (and therefore also Deep Art Effects) to quit every single time. (As it seems to run through Java?)

I would really appreciate any help you can offer!

Dear @wdsnowman since you’ve already tried all suggestions. please send us your generated logs from your installation

  1. Open Deep Art Effects and select “ info ” --> “ about ” in the top menu bar.
  2. In the about dialog there is a button called “ show debug log ”
  3. A new window containing the log will appear. Just press “ copy ”

Paste the copied text into a mail, send it to [email protected] and you are done!

We’ll have a look if we can see what causes the problem.
