Intelligent Resize Fails to Preserve Changes

I need the highest resolution output possible, so I always want to save with the Intelligent Resize option. However, it doesn’t work on images that have been adjusted.

For example, let’s say I select “Fantasy” as my preset style. Then I increase the contrast and intensity and various other parameters. Then I select Intelligent Resize and save the file. The saved file ignores all my adjustments and only saves the default “Fantasy” appearance.

Please help me understand why Intelligent Resize ignores all my adjustments?

You have to save the file you made the neural changes to a new file, then reopen this new file and and save it with intelligent resize, then save it, then open the new file, make changes, save it. Reopen file, intelligent resize, give new file name, save file, open new file, make changes… ad nauseum
