Issue with Deep Art Effects Desktop Application Crashing on Startup

Hello

I am experiencing an issue with the Deep Art Effects Desktop Application where it crashes immediately upon startup. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, but the problem persists. After launching, the program briefly shows the loading screen, but then freezes and shuts down unexpectedly. :innocent:

My system meets the recommended specifications, and I have the latest version of the application installed. I have checked Support - Deep Art Effects Community java guide for reference .

I’ve checked the event logs, and it seems there’s a conflict with certain GPU drivers. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or is there a known workaround for this?

Any suggestions for resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you ! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. Based on your description, the issue might be related to a conflict with GPU drivers or the way the application interacts with your system’s graphics configuration.

Update or Rollback GPU Drivers

  • Update: Ensure you have the latest drivers for your GPU (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel). You can download the latest drivers from the GPU manufacturer’s website.
  • Rollback: If you recently updated your drivers and the issue started, try rolling back to a previous version that was stable for your system.

Force Application to Use Integrated Graphics

If your system has both integrated and dedicated GPUs:

  • Open Graphics Settings in Windows.
  • Under “Choose an app to set preference,” add the Deep Art Effects application.
  • Select Power Saving (to use integrated GPU) or High Performance (to use dedicated GPU), depending on the problem.

Clear Cache or Temporary Files

  • Locate the application’s cache or temporary file directory (often in %APPDATA% or the installation folder).
  • Clear these files to eliminate any corrupted data causing the crash.

If possible, please open up a support ticket and send us the debug file.
